Tour Day!

TOUR DAY!
Today all the kids were taken around New Brunswick to different sites and were able to see some of the beauty of this province.  Our tour went to St. John and these are some of the sites we saw. . . .

 1.Saint John City Market
(we might have 1bought a few souvenirs here! wink . . .  wink . . . .
A cool factoid about this market ceiling - it mimics the inside of a ship!

Nadine was SOOO delighted to find a stand with British candy!

2.
The famous Reversing Falls . . .
We had great weather for this part of our day. The reversing falls are caused when the tide flows up though the narrow gorge we saw and then empties back out into the Bay of Fundy.  Very cool to see and to begin to understand that much of it happens because of the deep underwater ledges which roil the water.

3.
As we were headed to Rockwood Park, the rain came and it remained windy but we soldiered on and did a hike which was really beautiful.  We hiked to marble rocks set up in the park for each province.  The marble stones were donated from each province and installed in the park in the order they are on a map of Canada.  Each was engraved with a symbol from the province.

Everyone still in good spirits!

We got good and wet but we still had a terrific time!
On the bus back all 3 kids were completely zonked - it was a busy but obviously exhausting day!
